Three Piemontese denominations converge in Paolo Berta's winery, distributed among the undulations of Monferrato and the Alfieri hills. The spectrum ranges from the mineral whites of `Arneis`, the heart of `Terre Alfieri`, to structured reds built on `Nebbiolo` and `Barbera`, each calibrated to its originating terroir. `Barbera d'Asti` brings the region's most widespread red grape to its most complete form, while `Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato` represents the clearest choice: a rare grape, cultivated only within seven municipalities, which the winery champions as a mark of varietal specificity. The thread that binds the three `DOCG`s is adherence to minimum alcohol thresholds and aging protocols, the time necessary for tannins to soften and complexity to emerge. More than a broad range, it is a focused and coherent map of what Monferrato and `Terre Alfieri` can offer, interpreted through white and red grape varieties maintained true to their character.
