Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio DOCG

On the volcanic hills of Cinto Euganeo, Berton Adriana cultivates Colli Euganei Fior d'Arancio, a denomination built around Moscato giallo and other indigenous aromatic white grape varieties of the province of Padua. The DOCG encompasses seventeen municipalities, but the volcanic nature of the soil leaves a mineral signature on the wines that marks their character and distinguishes them from softer interpretations of the same grape variety. From this foundation, the winery develops a range that exploits the full aromatic potential of Moscato giallo in three directions. There are the still white wines, dry and direct; the sparkling wine, which carries the aromatics in its bubbles; and the passiti, where concentration pushes the aroma to its extreme. Each remains above the minimum 10.5% alcohol content stipulated by the production specifications, but the true constant is fidelity to the Euganean terroir. Berton works with a single protected origin and explores its possibilities without betraying its essence, transforming the same grape into different styles—dry, sparkling, sweet—all speaking the mineral language of these volcanic hills.
