Bianchi Saverio

Bianchi Saverio operates in Luco dei Marsi, on the Fucino plateau, where volcanic soil and high altitude create the ideal conditions for a quality potato. The company is dedicated to the Patata del Fucino IGP, a denomination cultivated in nine municipalities on lands reclaimed from the ancient lakebed—a landscape entirely transformed by human effort, drained and made fertile. From this unique soil emerge tubers with firm flesh, a regular shape, and intact skin: characteristics that are not accidental, but the result of generations of work on land with a recent yet well-defined agricultural identity. The choice to focus on a single denomination links the producer to a strictly territorial product, where the IGP certifies the relationship between the potato and the peculiar environment of Fucino. This paints a picture of an agriculture whose success is owed to a distant reclamation and to the continuity of those who, harvest after harvest, have learned to interpret the needs of a plateau that finds no comparison elsewhere.
