Biscardo Vini - Mabis S.r.l.

From San Bonifacio, at the gates of the Verona area, Biscardo Vini — Mabis S.r.l. crafts the two highest expressions of Valpolicella: Amarone and Recioto, both DOCG, both born from the appassimento process. At their core are the classic grape varieties of the 19-municipality zone – Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella – left to rest until the grapes concentrate sugar, color, and identity. The family's roots in the territory set the tone for a philosophy stated without rhetoric: where the wine is good, no sign is needed. Among their bottles is the award-winning Neropasso, born precisely from the appassimento technique, which here is both method and house signature. The distinction between the two DOCG wines – the dry and powerful Amarone, the sweet and velvety Recioto – defines the entire range and tells two ways of interpreting the same grape. It's a work that chooses concentration as its language, entrusting the resting period with the difference between any red wine and a Valpolicella red.
