BOCCAFOSCA SOCIETA' COOPERATIVA AGRICOLA
Boccafosca is a cooperative that unites winemakers from Marche around four DOCG denominations, a range that spans the region's entire color palette. On one side are the reds: Cònero, structured blends based on Montepulciano, and the rare Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, made from dark grapes and available in both sparkling and still versions. On the other are the whites, with two expressions of Verdicchio—Matelica Riserva and Castelli di Jesi Riserva—which translate the argillaceous marls and Miocene-era gypsum soils into minerality. In the vineyard, the winery adopts organic protocols and largely manual management, choosing to accompany the ecosystem rather than force it. For the reserve wines, eighteen to twenty-four months of aging build the complexity that distinguishes the more demanding types. The cooperative and multi-territorial dimension finds a natural meeting point in visits and tastings: those who book can experience four denominations in a single tasting that would otherwise require as many stops elsewhere.
