BOGGERO GIACOMO

Three DOCG denominations from the Asti area define the work of Boggero Giacomo. The cornerstone is Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, a structured red confined to just seven municipalities, flanked by Barbera d'Asti, which draws from a much broader basin of 165 municipalities and rests for at least four months before revealing its temperament. Completing the picture, Terre Alfieri plays on two registers, Arneis for white and Nebbiolo for red, expanding the spectrum of colors. This reveals a profile that doesn't pursue a single grape variety but traverses the ampelographic grammar of Piedmont: the territorial rarity of Ruchè, the regional scale of Barbera, and the dual soul of Terre Alfieri. It's a reading by denominations that conveys the geography of southern Monferrato more than a unique stylistic signature, measuring the winery by its ability to navigate different production scales and grape varieties with the same hand, without forcing one upon the other.
