Bolla

From the hilly amphitheater of San Pietro in Cariano, Bolla works with two DOCG denominations, both belonging to the world of Soave: Soave Superiore and Recioto di Soave. The two labels draw from the same ampelographic heritage—Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave—harvested across the twelve municipalities of the Verona province. This pairing showcases the two opposite faces of the same white wine: the dry and the sweet versions. The Recioto is interpreted in two styles, passito and spumante, each attested to a minimum of 12 percent alcohol, while the Superiore remains a classic and elegant dry white. Together, they create a range that spans from aperitif to after-dinner, all within the same territory. The winery is open to visitors: an on-site tasting is the most direct way to grasp both the distinction and the kinship between these two expressions of Garganega, from the structure of the dry to the concentration of the passito.
