🏡 Tastings & visitsCollio Goriziano DOC

In Cormòns, Bolzicco cultivates eight hectares in the Collio Goriziano DOC, where the ponca — stratified marl and sandstone — imparts a distinct mineral character to the wines. The vineyard is also a stratification in time: the oldest parcels date back to 1949, alongside plantings from the early 2000s, each managed to bring out the character of the individual grape variety. Controlled yields underpin the entire company philosophy. Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot grigio, Ribolla gialla, and aromatic varieties find their measure here to express a precise border, that between Slovenian Brda and the calcareous slopes of the Isonzo, a land primarily of whites but also of substantial reds. Geography works in favor of character: the exposure, the rock, and the climate of this corner of Friuli are reflected in the glass. Visitors to the winery can directly observe in the vineyard how each parcel holds a different nuance of the same territory.
