Chianti Classico DOCG

Bonacchi cultivates Sangiovese vineyards for Chianti Classico from its base in Quarrata, on the Pistoia hills overlooking the denomination's territory. This location, a cooler and higher strip of the Classico area, guides the winery's style towards reds that seek definition and verve rather than concentration. The work focuses on the labels permitted by the denomination, where Sangiovese and complementary red varieties reach the prescribed twelve percent alcohol threshold through patient maturation. It is not heat that drives the wines, but time: a choice that prioritizes freshness and endurance over immediate power. Operating within a single denomination, Bonacchi interprets its more ethereal segment, where the altitude and air of the Pistoia hills leave a recognizable imprint. The result is a Chianti Classico that entrusts its identity to measure and precision, reflecting the character of a hillside often left at the margins of the area's most famous narrative.
