In Castiglione Falletto, within the perimeter of the Langhe, the Bongiovanni winery traces its roots back to 1950, when Giovanni began working the family farm. Today, Davide Mozzone cultivates four guaranteed denominations along two axes: on one side, Nebbiolo from Barolo and Barbaresco, with aging periods of 38 and 26 months respectively, and the resulting structure; on the other, Dolcetto, in the Diano d'Alba and Dogliani versions, where the grape plays on a more direct elegance. These are two speeds of the same hill—the slowness of Nebbiolo, the readiness of Dolcetto—held together by the same hand and the same place. Each label bears the company's mark: a falcon with spread wings, dedicated to Uccellaccio, the site that provides continuity to the family's story. This is not a winery that opens its doors to the public, but its narrative remains legible in the bottle, where four Piedmontese denominations coexist under a single symbol and a singular idea of measure.
