Bosca

In Canelli, the historic capital of Asti sparkling wine, Bosca brings together two sensory worlds that rarely coexist under the same roof. The first is Vermut di Torino IGP, in which the house reinterprets the classic aperitif of the Piedmontese capital, imbuing it with its own character, between fortified wine and a weave of botanicals. The second is Alta Langa DOCG, a metodo classico that extends over a wide area of one hundred and forty-eight municipalities and demands rigor at every step. Built on Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, sometimes supplemented by other non-aromatic grape varieties suitable for Piedmont, Alta Langa requires a long aging on the lees before bottling. These two denominations outline a dual expertise—the fortified art of the aperitif and the sparkling wine discipline of the metodo classico—positioning Bosca as a guardian of complementary rather than alternative traditions. The winery is not open to the public, but the two labels alone tell the story of the distance, and yet the kinship, between an aperitif glass and a Piedmontese meditation bubble.
