From Dogliani, in the Cuneo area, Boschis Francesco oversees four DOCG denominations that span the entire range of the Langhe, from the noblest Nebbiolo to the everyday Dolcetto. On the side of great reds for aging are Barolo and Barbaresco, both made from Nebbiolo, with aging periods mandated by the regulations of thirty-eight and twenty-six months respectively: wines of long anticipation and firm structure. On the other, more immediate side, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and the broad range of Dogliani DOCG, rooted in twenty-one municipalities, give voice to the Dolcetto grape in its chosen homeland. Bringing these four appellations together means mastering two opposing rhythms of wine: the patience of Nebbiolo and the freshness of Dolcetto, with alcohol levels progressively rising from 12.0% to 13.0%. It's a catalog that tells the story of the Langhe in its entirety, without choosing between fame and daily life. Visitors to the estate can explore the full spectrum through a tasting, comparing the four wines side-by-side and appreciating how the same terroir modulates body, tannin, and alcohol from one glass to the next.
