Patata del Fucino IGP

The Fucino Plain preserves the memory of an ancient drained lake: where waters once stretched, today deep and fertile volcanic soils emerge. On these reclaimed lands, in Luco dei Marsi, Bove Sergio cultivates Patata del Fucino IGP, a tuber with compact flesh and a regular shape, featuring a skin that remains firm and doesn't detach. It's a potato built to last: it maintains its structure from pot to plate, without falling apart. The IGP designation protects a heritage that extends across nine municipalities in the Marsica area, where the synergy between specific soil and consolidated cultivation practices defines each harvest. More than an isolated product, the potato here is the outcome of a precise geography—that Abruzzese basin that water shaped and man made cultivable. Bove Sergio embraces this legacy, working a land that still bears the etched profile of the vanished basin.
