Brancher
For half a century, Brancher has cultivated Prosecco on the steep slopes of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, a single DOCG where everything hinges on the gradient. The winery was founded in the 1960s when Angelo Ronfini acquired the first vineyards; since then, family management has passed seamlessly to Francesco and Sergio, heirs to both technical knowledge and the responsibility of managing the terraces. Here, Glera and indigenous grape varieties grow between 125 and 400 meters, on slopes where every operation remains manual and altitude impacts the wine's profile. Spumante and frizzante wines thus tell the story not of the denomination as a whole, but of a precise portion, with the acidity and finesse that altitude imparts. The winery is not open to visitors, yet its work is evident in the constancy of a family that, over three generations, has chosen to remain within a single area, confronting the difficulty of the terrain rather than circumventing it.
