🏡 Tastings & visitsRoero DOCG

Founded in 1956 by winemaker Domenico Gallino, Bric Castelvej draws its identity from the vineyards of Roero, the sole denomination to which the winery is dedicated. Today, management is shared by Mario Repellino and his son Cristiano, an oenologist who rigorously oversees every phase in the cellar. Nebbiolo and Arneis mature for at least twenty months before becoming wine: from this patient wait emerge reds, whites, and sparkling wines that span the entire spectrum of colors and convey the complexity of the terroir more than any single stylistic signature. Here, the landscape unfolds on two levels. Above ground, the rows follow the hilly slopes of the Canale area; underground, subterranean spaces safeguard the slow aging of the bottles. Visitors to Canale can explore both realms, from the vine-covered slopes to the underground tunnels, and conclude their visit with a guided tasting accompanied by local cured meats and cheeses, in a journey that unites vineyard and cellar in a single narrative.
