Brunello Osvaldo

Peschiera del Garda · Province of Verona · Veneto

Lugana DOC

In Peschiera del Garda, where Lake Garda gives way to the plain, Brunello Osvaldo operates within the perimeter of Lugana DOC, a denomination that extends across five municipalities in the province of Verona. At the heart of his work is Turbiana, the indigenous grape also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, rooted in soils that the proximity of the water keeps temperate and consistent. From this grape, the winery derives the entire expressive range of the denomination: from the most immediate and vibrant white to the more concentrated and expansive reserves. The minimum alcohol content of 11% marks the threshold of a wine built on balance, where the mineral backbone dialogues with the subtle fruitiness that Turbiana only yields when the lake climate governs its maturation. It is an interpretation of the territory that chooses measure over exuberance, and that recognizes precision, rather than power, as the essential character of Lugana.
