BRUNOZZI

🏡 Tastings & visitsMontefalco Sagrantino DOCG

Brunozzi operates from ColleArfuso, a small ancient rural village south of Montefalco, where Sagrantino vineyards surround a farmhouse transformed into a winery, owned by the family since the early 20th century. A single denomination defines its horizon, Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, expressed in the two facets of the grape variety: the red and the passito, each aged for at least 37 months. This is a producer who works with their own hands, where the new generation has rediscovered quality viticulture while respecting traditional processes. Careful and patient seasonal pruning acts as a filter: only ripe and healthy grapes arrive in the cellar, because a wine destined for long aging does not forgive mediocre raw material. Time does the rest, those abundant three years that Sagrantino needs to soften its tannins. Visitors are welcome to observe the vineyard-centric approach and taste the results of this conscious work, appreciating the difference between the red and passito wines born from the same grape.
