Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCGCònero DOCGVerdicchio di Matelica Riserva DOCG+1

From Matelica, in the Macerata hinterland, Alfredo Bruzzechesse oversees four DOCG denominations distributed across different areas of Marche. The portfolio brings together opposing registers: the structured reds of Cònero and the mineral whites of Verdicchio, the latter expressed in the two Riserva versions of Matelica and Castelli di Jesi, each bound by eighteen or twenty-four months of aging. Completing the range is Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, a rarity crafted from the Vernaccia nera grape and offered as a spumante (sparkling) or a red wine: an anomaly that few producers master, and which here finds its place alongside more renowned labels. It is a journey through four DOCGs, not seeking breadth for its own sake, but measuring value in the discipline of time. Complexity in these bottles comes through patience, not shortcuts: each wine demands its waiting period, from the imposed aging months for the Riservas to the particular processing required by Vernaccia nera, composing a portrait of the Marche territory made of measured contrasts.
