From Loreto Aprutino, nestled in the hills of the Pescara province, Buccella Alessandro operates within a single denomination, Aprutino Pescarese DOP, which encompasses forty-six municipalities in this corner of Abruzzo. The perimeter is narrow, and the choice is one of adherence: locally harvested olives become an extra virgin olive oil that declares its origin rather than aspiring to mere varietal expression. In the glass, the oil shifts from green to yellow, with herbaceous notes and a contained fruitiness that eschews showiness in favor of balance.
