Cà dei Falchi
Conegliano · Province of Treviso · Veneto
Among the Rive di Ogliano, where the slopes become steep and define the landscape recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, Cà dei Falchi produces Prosecco DOCG in the territory of the fifteen municipalities of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The base is Glera, flanked by the varieties that historically accompany the appellation: Verdiso, Bianchetta trevigiana, Perera, and Glera lunga, roots of an entirely Trevigiano ampelographic vocabulary. From these grapes, white wines are born in still, frizzante, and spumante versions, so that a single denomination finds multiple expressive forms depending on the occasion and the sip. The steepness of the hilly ridges, difficult to work, explains both the effort of viticultural work and the quality that results: the slopes themselves make the difference. Each bottle thus becomes the story of an exceptional territory and the wine heritage that characterizes the entire hilly area. As the winery is open for visits, it's worth going up to Ogliano and booking a tasting among the Rive: it is by walking these slopes that Prosecco is truly understood.
