Barbera d'Asti DOCGRuchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCGTerre Alfieri DOCG

Based in Santo Stefano Belbo, in the Piedmontese hills, CA' DEL PRINCIPE builds its identity on three denominations, all DOCG. Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato represents the narrowest gamble, a niche grape requiring a sure hand; Terre Alfieri, on the other hand, encompasses two souls, white-berried Arneis and red Nebbiolo, distributed across eleven municipalities; finally, Barbera d'Asti is the historical cornerstone of the area, with a minimum aging of four months. The thread that ties the three labels together is the desire to engage with distinct terroirs and complex regulations, without seeking a single style. Thus, one moves from the light elegance of the whites to the profound structure of the long-aged reds, within a range that covers a good part of the Asti and Monferrato enological alphabet. The choice is not about breadth for its own sake: each denomination imposes its own rules, and the company embraces them as a testing ground, demonstrating that three different DOCG can coexist under the same interpretive hand without each losing its character.
