Ca’ di Rico

In Dovadola, Ca' di Rico intertwines viticulture with a vision for health. Massimiliano Degenhardt, a physician with an unconventional background, applies the same principles to the vineyard and cellar as he does to people: the winery exclusively produces organic wines under the Bioni brand, where soil vitality and the well-being of the drinker are considered one and the same. The sole denomination, Romagna Albana DOCG, becomes the testing ground for this approach. The Albana here is presented in a range that spans from linear and direct whites to more structured passiti, interpreted as two ways of expressing the same Romagnolo grape. Visitors receive a welcome that doesn't separate the product from the people: the family and team who animate the cellar personally share the philosophy that drives them. A stop in Dovadola is well worth it to taste the Romagna Albana directly at the winery and understand, glass in hand, what it means to connect the care of the land with the care of those who inhabit it.
