Cà Rugate

In the Soave area of Verona, Cà Rugate cultivates Garganega and Trebbiano with the meticulous care of someone tending a garden. From these white grapes, two expressions of the denomination are born: Soave in its Superiore version and Recioto, a sweet passito wine, both naturally capable of exceeding 12% alcohol. These two facets of the same grape variety—one taut and dry, the other concentrated and sweet—showcase the breadth of Garganega on these soils. But the winery doesn't stop at production: it opens its doors for visits and complements the cellar with an educational farm and an engaging enomuseum, where viticultural memory becomes a tangible experience. Visitors can taste Soave Superiore and Recioto side by side, explore the farm, and wander through the museum, grasping in a single visit the connection between the landscape, *appassimento*, and the transformation of white grapes into wine.
