Cacciapuoti Domenico

Around Teano, on the volcanic soils that mark the upper Caserta area, Cacciapuoti Domenico cultivates Melannurca Campana IGP apples, a denomination encompassing five provinces of the region. The company entrusts the Annurca and Rossa del Sud varieties to a fruit whose identity has been established over time, generation after generation, within the Campanian microclimate. From this cultural continuity derive the traits recognized by the regulations: the white flesh and crimson red skin, a phenotype matured more in the field than in the laboratory. The producer's attention to varietal authenticity, within the IGP rules, makes each harvest a direct expression of the terroir and a handed-down management. The result is an apple that bears the mark of its growing place in its color and consistency, where the denomination does not add prestige but certifies an belonging already written in the soils and climate that produce it.
