Toscano IGT

In Casole d'Elsa, in the Sienese hinterland, Pietro Caciorgna's estate has its roots in a story of rural migration: the family settled here in 1953, arriving from Marche, bringing their craft to Tuscany and starting anew on fresh land. Today, their work is gathered under a single denomination, the Toscano IGT, the most flexible and encompassing of the regional designations. In the vineyard, Sangiovese, Trebbiano Toscano, and Canaiolo Nero coexist, grape varieties that have always shaped the enological landscape of this province. From them come white, red, and rosé wines that do not chase the most prestigious denomination but rather the true vocation of the land, interpreted with discernment. It is a reality that doesn't hide its challenges, and precisely for this reason, it tells an authentic story about winemaking here: the continuity of work in the vineyard and cellar as a choice of responsibility, rather than a celebratory gesture. A single designation, then, and fidelity to a chosen, not inherited, territory.
