CADIA s.s.a operates from Roddi, in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of the Langhe, where Nebbiolo and Dolcetto express their character on demanding terroirs, composed of calcareous soils and carefully chosen exposures. It is a small patch of Piedmont where a few hills concentrate a rare density of prestigious denominations. The winery boasts recognition in four DOCG zones, divided by grape variety and aging requirements. On one side are the two great Nebbiolo wines, Barolo and Barbaresco, which require thirty-eight and twenty-six months of aging respectively and demand patience to fully express themselves; on the other, the two Dolcetto wines, Dolcetto di Diano d'Alba and Dogliani, spread across one and twenty-one municipalities, more immediate and with an accessible structure. Visitors to the cellar can discover how altitude and soil shape each denomination, from the intensity of Barolo—with its minimum alcohol content of 13%—to the more direct approach of Dogliani.
