Cafaggio

In Greve in Chianti, Cafaggio's Sangiovese wines interpret the territory with structural precision and a firmly local identity. The work is guided by winemaker Francesco Baldacci, recognized for his ability to interpret the landscape through winemaking: under his direction, the winery produces a Chianti Classico DOCG that combines varietal character with the strictness of the disciplinary code. Thus, a single denomination, but approached as a continuous test, where each vintage measures the dialogue between soil, climate, and winery choices. The Sangiovese is not tamed towards an easy taste, but rather guided to express the tension and finesse that Chianti Classico can offer when the terroir is respected. The winery is open for visits and tastings: it is worth stopping, walking through the vineyards of Greve, and tasting the wines in the cellar, to personally grasp how the Tuscan landscape and human endeavor respond to each other in every sip. It is the most direct way to understand what distinguishes this interpretation of Sangiovese.
