Caligaris Gianmario operates across three DOCG denominations of Piedmont — Terre Alfieri, Barbera d'Asti, and Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato — crafting a range that spans from the tannic intensity of Ruchè, a rare blend with at least 12.5% alcohol, to the mineral precision of Arneis, and the recognizable structure of Barbera. Its presence, distributed across 183 municipalities, is not a matter of scale but a measure of a diverse geography, interpreted soil by soil. Each denomination imposes its own protocols: calibrated aging, rigorous varietal selections, and the dual expressions — white and red — that Terre Alfieri allows within the same area.
