Five hundred hectares of lemon groves overlooking the Siracusan coast, eighteen thousand tons certified organic annually: Campisi Italia approaches Limone di Siracusa IGP on a large scale without compromising the regulations. The variety is Femminello, harvested at three different times of the year—Primofiore, Bianchetto, and Verdello—to cover the entire season with fruits of varying profiles. The juice yield reaches 34%, and the fine-grained peel concentrates high-quality essential oils, the characteristic that truly distinguishes this protected citrus fruit. A logistics system designed to preserve its freshness revolves around the fruit. A dedicated 6,500-square-meter facility, equipped with refrigerated cells, maintains the cold chain from harvest to delivery. From here, the lemons reach all of Northern Italy and travel up through Northern Europe, from Austria to Scandinavia. This is the portrait of an IGP that plays its game on volume and reliability, demonstrating that scale is not necessarily an enemy of territorial specificity when the method remains rigorous.
