Campo alle Comete

In Castagneto Carducci, within the Bolgheri area, Campo alle Comete cultivates a landscape where Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot ripen on sun-exposed slopes. The winery complements its fresh Vermentino whites with the structured reds of the Bolgheri and Bolgheri Sassicaia denominations, the latter aged for at least 24 months to allow complexity to fully develop. This is viticulture that reads the land before the cellar: every characteristic of the soil and coastal climate is found, translated, in the glass. Bolgheri remains a restricted and highly codified territory, and here the work is measured against its demanding regulations. The winery welcomes visitors: it's worth a stop to walk through the rows just a few kilometers from the sea and understand, glass in hand, how Vermentino and Bordeaux grapes interpret the same corner of Maremma livornese, where the proximity of the Tyrrhenian Sea leaves a distinct imprint on every wine.
