Camporeale, Mario Lavarini's winery, operates in the Classica zone of Negrar, one of Valpolicella's key territories, with vineyards distributed across two distinct microclimates. The highest plots, near Marano, rise to three hundred and fifty meters on volcanic and alluvial soils that capture the sun from dawn to dusk—an ideal condition for the *appassimento* process that gives rise to Amarone and Recioto DOCG. From Corvina and Rondinella thus emerge the two faces of Verona's great red wine: the dry and powerful Amarone, and the sweet and velvety Recioto, both fruits of the same grapes left to rest on drying racks. The winemaking combines traditional knowledge with modern technique, aiming to let the origin speak without compromise. The winery opens its doors to visitors: a stop in Negrar allows one to explore the vineyards at different altitudes and taste Amarone and Recioto directly where they are born, grasping the difference that the microclimate imparts to each glass.
