Lugana DOC

From Olgiate Comasco, in the province of Como, Camporotondo bottles Lugana DOC, the white wine born from the Turbiana grape. The area is restricted—five municipalities straddling Lombardy and the Veronese region—and the producer dedicates itself exclusively to it, interpreting the denomination in its various levels of ambition: the basic version, the Superiore, and the Riserva. The cool continental currents that cross the area give Turbiana its recognizable character: a mineral tension and a crispness of stone fruit that express themselves starting from the minimum 11% alcohol. This results in dry and clean interpretations, designed for the table rather than for show, in which the variety remains the common thread and each vintage yields the same acidic backbone. A single wine, explored in depth rather than breadth, which makes consistency across vintages its benchmark and measure of quality.
