🏡 Tastings & visitsOrcia DOC

On the slopes of Val d'Orcia, bordering Monte Amiata, Campotondo cultivates Sangiovese, which gives life to its sole denomination, Orcia a Denominazione di Origine Controllata. The undulating landscape and altitudes of this corner of Tuscany infuse the wines through hands-on management, from vineyard to cellar aging. From the selection of non-aromatic grapes to bottling, every decision aims to make the territory recognizable in the glass, expressed in the Rosso, Riserva, and Rosato versions. Local biodiversity is not merely a backdrop: it translates into the characteristics of wines that the Orcia denomination, less known than its neighbors but no less defined, keeps within precise boundaries. The winery is open to visitors, and on-site tastings are the most direct way to understand how slope, soil, and climate are deposited in each type: a stop in Castiglione d'Orcia is worthwhile to taste the Rosso, Riserva, and Rosato on location, among the vines that generated them.
