Conegliano Valdobbiadene - Prosecco DOCG

The story of Canella began with a practical problem. In post-war San Donà di Piave, Luciano Canella needed to supply wine to his mother's osteria, and instead of relying on the few local producers, he devised his own solution: old bottles with mechanical stoppers and artisanal sparkling wine achieved through patient sweetening. From that expedient came the intuition that would define the company. Bottling Bellini — the Venetian aperitif — as a fresh, low-alcohol product meant exporting an idea of Italian elegance beyond borders. Initial pragmatism thus became a recognizable style, and Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG is now the ground on which that approach is measured. The denomination, the heart of Treviso's sparkling wines, demands finesse and consistency: qualities that Canella pursues by drawing on the same original vocation, that of transforming a constraint into a method. It's not a story of prestige, but of ingenuity applied to wine, with a constant eye on international markets.
