Canoso

Between Soave and Monteforte d'Alpone, in one of Italy's oldest wine-growing areas, Canoso focuses its work on two guaranteed denominations: Soave Superiore and Recioto di Soave. The raw material remains the area's customary pair, Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave, but takes two opposite directions—dry and sweet from dried grapes—depending on the production specifications. Manual grape selection and low-impact vineyard practices accompany a production that aims for a clear profile and a certain individuality of style. On one side, tense, mineral-driven whites, reminiscent of Soave Classico; on the other, the passito, a more opulent and concentrated version of the same grape. Visitors can closely observe this dual outcome: a stop at the winery allows them to taste both denominations and to discern, bottle after bottle, the connection to the territory.
