Cantina Carona

On the alpine slopes of Cedegolo, in the province of Brescia, Cantina Carona operates within the boundaries of Valcamonica IGT, a terroir defined more by its cool mountain climate than any other variable. The grapes are those that thrive at altitude and with significant temperature variations: Riesling Renano, Incrocio Manzoni, and Müller Thurgau, translated into a range that includes whites, reds, and passito wines. Each bottle reaches the minimum alcohol content of 11.5% set by regional standards, a threshold that here marks a starting point rather than a finish line. The winery's work lies entirely in this translation: extreme vineyard conditions brought to a legible form in the glass. The welcome remains open throughout the year, with no imposed seasonality.
