Cantina Chitarra S.r.l.

Cantina Chitarra has been operating in Marsala since 1907, bearing the name of the district that hosts it, at the intersection of four municipalities in a valley with a strong winemaking vocation. The numbers tell the scale: approximately six hundred hectares of vineyards, seventy-five percent dedicated to white varieties — Grillo, Catarratto, Inzolia — and the remainder to dark grapes. On this foundation, the company crafts its Sicilia DOC wines. Since 2012, the winery has followed a dual path: holding firm to its roots in the past while embracing innovation, striving to translate a unique terroir into recognizable products. Alongside wine, there is Sicilia IGP extra virgin olive oil, a second denomination that broadens the narrative from vine to olive without changing territory. The door remains open: Chitarra welcomes visitors for tastings at various times throughout the year, offering a tangible opportunity to explore vineyards and sample products in one of Western Sicily's most distinctive districts, where white wine and olive oil share the same land.
