delle Venezie DOC

Rooted in Ormelle, in the Treviso area, Cantina di Ormelle interprets Pinot Grigio and regional white wines within the Delle Venezie DOC, one of Italy's most extensive denominations: 941 municipalities spread across three regions. On this vast scale, continental currents and calcareous soils remain the common denominator, defining crisp and mineral profiles that hold together an otherwise heterogeneous territory. The winery's portfolio draws from the complementary grape varieties permitted in the area: alongside Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Müller Thurgau, and long-standing Friulian varieties like Tocai and Verduzzo. Each wine is calibrated to balance alcohol, with a minimum of 9.5%, preserving acidity and freshness — the hallmark of these crisp, young white wines. It is a work that leverages the breadth of the denomination without losing its identity, focusing on clarity and drinkability rather than volume or softness. The calcareous minerality remains the thread that links the entire range, from Pinot Grigio to the indigenous Friulian grapes.
