Castel del Monte Bombino Nero DOCGCastel del Monte Nero di Troia Riserva DOCGCastel del Monte Rosso Riserva DOCG

Cantina Diomede is rooted in Canosa, where legend attributes the first planting of the vine that would become Nero di Troia to the Trojan hero Diomedes. It is within these so-called Campi Diomede that the winery organizes its work, supported by modern techniques and substantial investments in the vineyards. The production focuses on three DOCG denominations of Castel del Monte. Two are red Riserva wines, requiring a minimum aging of twenty-four months and an alcohol content of at least thirteen percent: structured wines designed for longevity. The third is a rosé made from Bombino Nero, which lightens the profile and broadens the interpretation of the territory. Together, these three labels compose a coherent portrait of Puglia's Central Murgia, whose genius loci the winery aims to respect. The thread that unites them is geographical and cultural before it is stylistic: a single area, that of Castel del Monte, expressed through the power of age-worthy reds and the freshness of an indigenous rosé.
