CANTINA MARENO S.C.A.

In Mareno di Piave, in northeastern Veneto, the Cantina Mareno cooperative works with two contrasting DOCG denominations: Lison, a white, and Piave Malanotte, a red. The former is born from Tai and regional grape varieties in an area spanning nineteen municipalities, capturing the mineral precision of these plains; its minimum alcohol content of 12% defines its character, yielding wines of freshness and restraint compared to more assertive regional competitors. Malanotte shifts the focus to the other side, that of structured reds from Piave, and completes a profile that brings together the crispness of white and the depth of red from the same district. This dualism effectively illustrates the viticulture of this area, capable of both aromatic lightness and body depending on the grape.
