CANTINA RIZZO

Castel San Lorenzo DOCCilento DOPCilento DOC+2

In southern Campania, Cantina Rizzo works with a range of five denominations that intertwine wine and oil. The four wine designations—Castel San Lorenzo and Cilento as DOC, Colli di Salerno and Paestum as geographical indications—cover the entire color spectrum: reds built on Aglianico and Barbera, whites from Coda di Volpe, and rosés bridging the two. Each label carries a calibrated alcohol content and a clear varietal profile, without deviation. The fifth denomination shifts the focus from the glass to the olive mill: Cilento DOP is an extra virgin olive oil with yellow-green reflections, fruity on the nose and peppery on the finish. This dual vocation—vineyard and olive grove read as a single landscape—positions the company in the southwest of the peninsula as an interpreter of two protected supply chains that share soil, light, and human touch. The Cilento territory, between inland relief and proximity to the sea, remains the coordinate that holds the range together and explains its coherence.
