Cantina Sociale Brancasi operates around Brindisi with a dual-denomination portfolio, navigating between the DOC Brindisi and the broader Squinzano, which encompasses nine municipalities in Salento. The cooperative structure translates into a wide yet coherent range, built on indigenous grape varieties: Negroamaro and Malvasia nera as pillars, flanked by Susumaniello and Sangiovese. The red wines, exceeding 12% alcohol by volume, convey the mineral-rich structure associated with this part of Salento and the Ionian Arch, while the rosé and white versions complete a production firmly rooted in Mediterranean varieties. Bringing two denominations under a single direction allows the winery to interpret the differences between the territories without losing its overall identity: each wine remains an expression of a precise area, but participates in the same varietal grammar.
