Cantina Sociale Cellinese

Around Cellino San Marco, in the Brindisi area of Salento, Cantina Sociale Cellinese brings together the work of a cooperative group where Negroamaro shapes the landscape. The vines punctuate the plain, and from here, two contiguous denominations take shape, Brindisi and Squinzano DOC, which the winery interprets using grapes selected from its members' vineyards. The resulting wines have a dry profile and full flavor, a typical characteristic of southern Puglia, where the sun and soils yield substantial rather than delicate reds. Winemaking focuses on adherence to the place: each label strives to interpret the geology and climate of its area of origin without corrective artifices. In the sum of the two DOCs, the cooperative's hallmark is evident — transforming a raw material widely distributed across the territory into bottles that speak a common language, that of Salento's Negroamaro.
