Cantina Sociale Colognola

Garda DOCGarda DOP

Cantina Sociale Colognola works with two Garda denominations that tell the story of the same microclimate from different angles. From the olive-growing side comes Garda DOP extra virgin olive oil, delicately fruity with sweet notes, a profile directly dependent on the mildness of the lake and its ability to temper winter. From the viticultural side, the cooperative produces Garda DOC wines: whites, spumanti, and frizzanti made from white grape varieties like Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay, with a minimum alcohol content of 11%. The cooperative structure explains this dual vocation: contributions from olive groves and vineyards converge in a single winery, bringing together the table and the glass under the same lakeside coordinates. The result is a less conventional portrait of the territory, where the oil declares the sweetness of the climate and the wine conveys its freshness. It's an interpretation of a part of Garda where olive cultivation and viticulture coexist on the same slope, measured by the same humid air rising from the water.
