Cantina Sociale di Ala

Nestled among the Alpine slopes of Trentino, Cantina Sociale di Ala masterfully interprets seven protected denominations. Five DOCs showcase the region's still wines—from Casteller to Trentino, Valdadige, and Teroldego Rotaliano—alongside the classic method sparkling wines of Trento DOC. Two IGTs, Vallagarina and Vigneti delle Dolomiti, further expand their production scope. This cooperative operates across 63 municipalities, adhering to integrated production protocols that oversee every stage of cultivation. Teroldego remains the flagship grape variety, an indigenous varietal capable of reaching its fullest expression with a minimum alcohol content of 11.5%. Alongside it, Nosiola and Marzemino thrive, while international varieties complete a range shaped by local microclimates and soils. The Trento DOC sparkling wines, aged for at least 15 months, embody the patience demanded by the mountains. Each label thus translates a fragmented geography into wines that, glass after glass, declare the altitude and rock from which they originate.
