Cantina Sociale di Argelato

Established in 1972 by the union of over two hundred grape growers, Cantina Sociale di Argelato interprets the Bolognese plain through a single guaranteed denomination: Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOC. Grechetto gentile, supported by other indigenous white varieties, is the raw material from which the cooperative produces a range of versions—still, frizzante, and spumante—showcasing the same grape in different registers of pressure and freshness. Since 2024, joining the Gruppo Morini has expanded production capacity and commercial reach without shifting the focus from the Emilia region. The cooperative spirit endures, with many hands converging on a single flagship wine, deeply rooted in the plain north of Bologna. The winery welcomes visitors to Argelato: it's worth a stop to taste the three versions of Pignoletto in sequence and discover how a single denomination can transform between a still glass and one with bubbles, measuring the distance between tension and vivacity within the same grape variety.
