A Monferrato cooperative, Cantina Sociale di Castagnole Monferrato gathers contributions from many members and channels them into three DOCG denominations that define its identity. The signature wine is Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, an aromatic red born within seven municipalities and bearing the name of the winery's own village. Around it revolve the other two origins, each with a distinct character. From Arneis and Nebbiolo, the white-red pairing envisioned by Terre Alfieri DOCG takes shape, while Barbera d'Asti DOCG—sourced from a broad area, up to 165 municipalities, and aged for a minimum of four months—marks the cooperative's dedication to structured reds suitable for aging. It's a collective-scale model that doesn't compromise on rigor: every bottle remains anchored to its denomination's regulations, from yield to aging thresholds, translating the work of many vineyards into a recognizable profile.
