CANTINA SOCIALE TEZZE DI PIAVE S.A.C.

The cooperative of Tezze di Piave, in Vazzola in the Treviso wine province, unites its members' contributions around two DOCGs that tell the story of Veneto's two oenological faces. On one side, the Lison, a fresh and straightforward white from `Tai` grapes, around 12% alcohol; on the other, the Piave Malanotte, a structured red based on `Raboso Piave`. The distance between the two wines is also a distance in time. The Lison is best enjoyed young, for its aromatic vibrancy; the Malanotte requires at least 36 months of aging before reaching the market, to tame the severe acidity and tannins that `Raboso` brings with it. Bringing together both lighter and more robust styles is the choice that defines this cooperative winery: not a specialization, but an almost complete map of what the land between the Piave river and the plain can offer.
