CANTINA TIZZANO SRL

Aglianico del Taburno DOCG

In the province of Benevento, Cantina Tizzano works with Aglianico del Taburno DOCG, a denomination that delineates the vineyards of thirteen municipalities at the foot of the massif. From these come reds and rosés built on the resilience of Aglianico: at least 12% alcohol content and no less than twenty-four months of maturation, the time necessary for the grape to develop its tannic structure. Around this cornerstone, the winery offers a broader catalog, featuring Fiano, Greco di Tufo, and other white wines of volcanic origin. These expressions narrate the ampelographic variety of inland Campania, where very different soils and grape varieties coexist within a short distance. Tizzano thus presents itself as a company that anchors its identity to Aglianico del Taburno but does not confine itself there, using its white wines to measure the breadth of one of Southern Italy's most stratified wine territories.
