Cantina Vermentino di Monti

Founded in July 1956 by twenty-two Monti winemakers to standardize harvest processing and elevate the quality of Vermentino, this cooperative winery is today a collective reality: 350 members, 600 hectares distributed across four municipalities in northeastern Gallura, all committed to delivering rigorously selected grapes to the same facility. Within the three hectares of the estate, delicate crushing and destemming lead to temperature-controlled warehouses, while the barrel room—marked by a granite portal of clear Aragonese origin—houses barrels and *tonneaux* before bottling. This is a supply chain where organization is a form of identity: every Vermentino di Gallura DOCG carries the mark of this shared commitment, rooted in local viticulture rather than the signature of a single individual. The guaranteed denomination thus becomes the common arrival point for many hands.
